Brushing Isn't Just About Keeping Them Beautiful. The Day I Realized That.

Today, I'd love to share a little story about brushing during our husky's shedding season. 💖

What does brushing time mean to you? ✨

Not long ago, I thought brushing was simply another part of grooming.

Something you do to...

• remove loose fur,
• prevent mats and tangles,

...and that's about it.

Our husky has always been a little picky when it comes to brushes.

Sometimes he'd see the brush and immediately run away. 😂

So every brushing session became a race against time.

"Let's finish before he gets tired of it!"

That was always on my mind.

To be honest, I knew brushing was something I should do every day, but it wasn't something I looked forward to.

If anything, my mindset was more like this:

• "Let's finish before he runs away."
• "As long as I remove enough loose fur, that's good enough."
• "I'll work harder during shedding season. The rest of the year isn't that important."

Looking back now, I realize something.

Even though I was brushing because I loved him, my real focus had quietly shifted to...

How can I get this done as quickly as possible?

Without even noticing, brushing had become a task to complete instead of a moment to enjoy.

So if someone had told me back then,

"One day, brushing will become your favorite part of the day."

…I probably would have laughed and said,

"No way." 😂

Meeting SHARR — The Brush That Changed Everything

Then one day, I discovered SHARR.

Looking back, it completely changed the way I think about brushing.

At first, I honestly wasn't sure.

"Can a brush really make that much of a difference?"

But what surprised me wasn't the brush itself.

It was my dog's reaction.

Instead of trying to run away...

He closed his eyes.

He relaxed.

He actually looked like he was enjoying every moment.

Watching him like that changed something in me, too.

Before I even realized it, I found myself talking to him.

"Does that feel good?" 😊

"You're in such a good mood today."

"Let's brush over here, too."

Without thinking about it, our brushing sessions had become little conversations.

What used to be something I simply wanted to finish as quickly as possible had quietly turned into one of my favorite moments of the day—

A special time to slow down, connect, and simply enjoy being with my best friend. 🤍

More Than Brushing — It Became "SHARR Time"

There was another unexpected change, too.

In our family, brushing had always been my job.

Of course, everyone would help when needed, but no one ever picked up the brush on their own.

That slowly started to change after SHARR became part of our daily routine.

One day, I noticed a family member reaching for the brush without me asking.

Then I heard something that made me smile.

"Want to SHARR?"

Not...

"Want me to brush you?"

But...

"Want to SHARR?"

That was the moment it hit me.

This wasn't just brushing anymore.

Of course, SHARR is still a brush.

But in our home, it became something much more than grooming.

It became "SHARR Time."

A special moment when our family naturally slows down, gathers together, and shares meaningful time with the one we love most.

It's no longer just about keeping his coat beautiful.

It's about connection.

It's about affection.

It's about creating little moments we'll always remember. 🤍

Brushing Changed More Than Just His Coat

As we started slowing down and spending more time together every day, I began noticing all the little things.

"Looks like you're shedding a little more today."

"There's a tiny tangle starting here."

"You're feeling extra cuddly today."

They're such small changes...

But they're the kind of things you only notice when you truly take the time to connect.

And something unexpected happened.

Because we were enjoying brushing together instead of rushing through it, I realized the quality of our grooming had improved, too.

His coat became softer.

Fluffier.

Healthier.

And because we were both relaxed, brushing became easier than ever before.　

But honestly...

That wasn't the biggest change.

The biggest change was this:

Brushing was no longer just another grooming task.

It had become one of the most meaningful moments I share with my dog. 🥹🤍

Running your hands through their coat.

Saying,

"You look happy today."

"You're doing great."

"I'm so glad you're here."

Somehow, brushing has become a moment that naturally brings our whole family together.

And I hope every brushing session can become something like that for you, too.

Not another chore on your to-do list...

But something you genuinely look forward to each day.

A moment to notice the little things.

To talk.

To laugh.

To relax together.

Because one day, those ordinary moments may become the memories you'll treasure most. 🌿
