How to Use SHARR by Breed | Toy Poodle Guide

This time, we’re introducing the best way to use SHARR for Toy Poodles, known for their adorable, fluffy, curly coats. 🐩

Discover how to make brushing time more comfortable and enjoyable for your Toy Poodle with SHARR.

Brushing Your Toy Poodle

Toy Poodles shed relatively little, but their curly coats can easily become tangled and prone to matting.

Pay special attention to areas such as:

・Behind the ears
・Under the legs
・Chest
・Around the legs and paws
・Belly

Be sure to check these areas regularly for tangles and mats.

How to Use SHARR

___________

◾️STEP 1: Check the Coat with Your Hands

Before brushing, gently run your hands over your Toy Poodle’s entire body to check for any tangles or mats.

If you find a larger mat or tangle, use either the boar-bristle side or the 14K gold-plated pin side of SHARR and gently tap the tangled area with a light “tap, tap, tap” motion.

This helps loosen the tangle little by little without unnecessarily pulling on your pet’s skin.

※ For severe matting, we also recommend using SHARR together with a slicker brush.

___________

◾️STEP 2: Smooth the Coat with the Pin Side

Start with SHARR’s 14K gold-plated pins.

For areas that are prone to tangling, gently brush in small sections, working in this order:

Ends → Mid-lengths → Roots

Avoid pulling too hard, and always pay attention to your pet’s comfort and reactions as you brush.

The pin brush also provides a cooling effect for a refreshing brushing experience. 🧊✨

◾️STEP 3: Finish with the Boar-Bristle Side

Once you’ve smoothed and detangled the coat with the pin side, switch to the boar-bristle side.

Gently glide the brush through the coat in the direction of hair growth, using soft, stroking motions.

Slowly brush the entire body to finish.

For fluffy paws, a cute rounded “pants” trim, or any areas you’d like to give a fuller, rounder shape, we recommend using the boar-bristle side against the direction of hair growth to gently fluff up the coat. ♪

◾️Brushing Tips

① Pay extra attention to areas prone to matting

Take special care around areas where friction commonly occurs, such as behind the ears, under the legs, and around the paws.

② You don’t have to brush the entire body at once

If your pet isn’t comfortable with brushing, start with short sessions and gradually build up over time.

The most important thing is to make brushing a part of your everyday bonding time together. ♪

③ Be gentle

Rather than focusing on removing as much loose hair as possible, prioritize making sure your pet feels comfortable and relaxed throughout the experience.

④ Combine SHARR with other brushes when needed

For some pets, SHARR may be all they need. For others, depending on their coat type, the area being brushed, or the desired style, using a comb or slicker brush alongside SHARR may work better.

There’s no single right way — find what works best for your pet. ♪

We hope SHARR inspires you to have fun keeping your pet looking beautiful and stylish. ✨
